As a freelancer, I'm the copywriter, marketing coordinator, and full-stack engineer. I meet with clients weekly to sell my products and services, add new layouts to my website portfolio, study the job market for client needs, create marketing campaigns, and develop new products.
About Me
Hello, I'm Lexington. I caught the entrepreneurship bug this new year and took on the challenge of creating a website portfolio business. I bring a wealth of skills from being a D-1 athlete—discipline, competitive drive, goal-setting, and a fire to beat the odds—along with knowledge from my computer engineering background in cloud architecture, web development, and programming. I'm also a fast learner with a knack for simplifying technical and complicated concepts.
Right now, I'm fascinated by delicious vegan recipes, from lion's mane mushroom sandwiches to dragon fruit pop tarts. I'm intrigued by all the ways we can ditch highly processed foods and meat for raw vegan and (mostly) less-raw vegan recipes. I'm also loving the car journey YouTube videos where someone buys a cheap car and takes their followers through the process of fixing it!
Before taking on this role, I worked as an Uber driver for 1.5 years in the Cleveland area. I met tons of people, worked as a private driver for a few clients, and experienced some great conversations and quiet rides. Previously, I worked as an Anti-Money Laundering analyst for AML RightSource. I never knew that industry existed before I worked there—it was an eye-opener and an invitation to learn more about the 2008 financial crisis, the Big 4, sanctions lists, and the BSA Act. Before that, I was part of an intensive program called the JUMP Program that trains professionals through real-world projects. I completed their 6-week Business Analyst intensive and 12-week Site Reliability intensive.
